Give Back Opportunities

Many members seek ways to share their experience and special skills to give back to the SW Florida community.

Giving as little as 2 hours a week can make a huge difference in the lives of the less privileged among us.

In addition to group MCA events, below is a list of organizations individual members support. Contact them to learn how you can give back.

Baker Senior Center  Contribute in any of a dozen ways to area seniors.  Harvey Cohen.

Bikes for Tykes   Repair bikes for underprivileged kids. Don Belmont.

Guardian-Ad-Litem   Advocate for a child in a legal proceeding. Ira Kushnir.

Habitat for Humanity  Help build homes for families in need. Howard Greenfield.

Meals of Hope   Pack food for families struggling with food insecurity. Bruce Sherman.

Project Build.  Mentor local youth in the construction trades.  Paul Doppelt.

    Habitat for Humanity

MCA members can partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a home for a family in need. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Since there is a wide variety of different jobs that are needed, the volunteer will be able to choose the job that maximizes his abilities and yet stays within his comfort level.

With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. In the past, this has proven to be one of the most popular volunteer activity among MCA membership, but more help is needed!

    Meals of Hope Food Bagging
