In this one-of-a-kind presentation, international concert pianist and former University Professor Peter Simon both performs and narrates the history and greatness of Jewish composers who have positively influenced western music throughout the years.
From European Classical to Israeli music to Broadway show tunes, Mr. Simon both entertains and enlightens his audience with this presentation of the history of the great Jewish Composers. Among the composers that Mr. Simon will present will be Felix Mendelssohn, Earnest Bloch, Maurice Ravel, Paul Ben-Haim, Jacques Offenbach, Irving Berlin, Richard Rogers and George Gershwin.
A native of Denver, Colorado, Peter Simon has toured the world giving concerts, lecture-recitals and children's shows. Among his achievements were performances in Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, four tours of Israel, as well as European and Asian tours. He has also performed in over 500 U.S. cities, believing that good music should be enjoyed by everyone regardless of age or background.
